November 2007 News from Ana

October was a busy month for me. I had two books release, Demon in the Basement from Forbidden Publications and The Noonday Demon from Amira Press. Staying current with promo, website updates and my kids kept me on my toes. I made it through and here it is already November!

This month I have one book scheduled to release. Shahzar II Last Shan-Sei continues the adventures of my strong-willed desert princess in her search to find the last descendant of the great mage priests who used to inhabit the temple in her city. She believes this sorcerer can bring an end to the war between Kaladia and its rival city of Klem. Like most things in life we hold high hopes and anticipation for, the last Shan-Sei is not what she expected. Available November 8, 2007 from Forbidden Publications. Join me tonight at Forbidden’s website for an author release chat. http://ForbiddenPublications.com

I’ve been keeping it a secret, but Shahzar Warrior Queen, the first book in the series is now available in print through Lulu.com. I’m still waiting for the approval from Bowker’s Books in Print but the ISBN number is: 978-0-6151-6812-8.

You can order your copy here: http://www.lulu.com/content/1250481. They tell me it will be available to order through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and any major bookstore. Help me get stocked on bookshelves and go into your local brick and mortar bookstore to order your copy today!

I’ve also been interviewed by Joyfully Reviewed. If you’d like to find out more about me, follow the link below to read up on why I write. Be sure to check out Joyfully Reviewed’s Reviews while you’re there! http://www.joyfullyreviewed.com/Interviews/November07/AnastasiaRabiya.html

Book Reviews

Here’s what others had to say about my stories. Don’t take my word for how much of an escape they are, get someone else’s two cents. If you’ve read one of my stories and want to tell me about it, please drop me a note at Ana@RabiyahBooks.com. I’d love to hear from you.

The Noonday Demon

“…I found this to be a very interesting erotic story. The magic that Abra works with her paintings added an interesting touch to the plot. It is amazing how much sexual tension Ms. Rabiyah manages to incorporate into a story that takes place on less than thirty pages. I think that if this were a full-size book, it would kill me! “The Noonday Demon” is a great short story. I think it is too steamy to recommend reading while at work. Abra’s fantasies and need to seduce Val will cause you to blush for hours!”

Rope

“…Rope is a wonderfully romantic story by Anastasia Rabiyah. Delancey’s fears of love and pain struck a chord with me and I found myself hoping she would allow the happiness offered by Garrett. Garrett allows Del to set the pace only up to a certain point. The love scenes are tender and erotic and very pleasing. I loved Rope and finished the book with a smile on my face. This is one not to be missed!”

“…ROPE is a sexy tale of a woman learning to love again. After being burned by one failed relationship, she’s scared to enter into a new one from the fear of the same thing happing all over again. I loved the care Garrett shows her. She repeatedly tells him she’s not interested in him (even though she truly is) and he persists to prove her wrong. The characters are believable and the plot interesting. I enjoyed Ms.Rabiyah writing style and look forward to reading more of her work. I recommend ROPE for lovers of hot cowboys all around.”

Shahzar I Warrior Queen

“…Anastasia Rabiyah ensorceles the reader with her fantasy novel Shahzar Warrior Queen. Each and every character no matter how small was detailed and brought such life to this story. I loved that her main character went against each and every rule because she knew in her heart what must be done, no matter what the old traditions were. Such a strong willed woman but still soft and feminine enough to feel comfort in the arms of a man.

I loved reading this exciting, adventurous work of art. Then next book in the series is called Last Shan-Sei and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I will be once that book is released. I look forward to following Queen Shahzar in her quests to rebuild her city.

What’s Going on In My Little World

Those of you who know me, know I keep myself far too busy for any one person to stay sane. Not only do I write, I also edit, design cover art, and keep the accounting straight for the family business. I have three small children whose schoolwork seems endless and a husband who assigns me many other marketing tasks for our restaurant such as website maintenance and menu re-design. Writing is something I do to escape and to get the muses in my head to stop pestering me.

In addition to my stories, I love to paint and draw and have since I was a young girl. My dream job was to be a farmer and an artist. My first published work was an article about composting. My art always seems to take second place behind any other tasks I’m trying to complete.

The stories I’m working on now are Urden, God of Desire, a futuristic erotic romance I’m hoping to contract with loveyoudivine. It’s a sequel to another tale, Nimmet, Goddess of Love, which is already on submission there.

I’m racing to pen a short paranormal Christmas tale. Strange as it sounds, I’m struggling to keep it from becoming erotic romance. As with anything I write, it doesn’t seem to be up to me which way the story goes, but rather the muses or characters who make up the tale. If I try to control it too much, they stop talking to me. I’m more than halfway done with this one and hope to have it accepted at Forbidden Publications.

I have a drawing on my website running now, in case you’re interested in dark erotic romance. Last month I had two demon releases, Demon in the Basement at Forbidden Publications and The Noonday Demon at Amira Press. Both are unique and feature a demon as the hero/main character. Check out my website at: http://RabiyahBooks.com and go to the contest page for details on how to enter.

If you ask, I’ll even send you a free demon bookmark. Be sure to include your mailing address in the email.

That’s all I have for now. I hope you follow your dreams and find what you need most in life.

Much love,

Anastasia Rabiyah
